The value of a piece isn’t only in owning it — it’s in how it carries forward.
Families usually buy jewellery for how it looks, for an occasion, for what it marks. But when it actually has to pass to the next generation, the question stops being “what is this worth” and becomes: is the provenance documented, how is the value established, who receives it, when, and does it belong in the wider succession plan at all.
The same piece, treated as a purchase or treated as an asset, ends up on two very different paths.
